A website is a bunch of connected pages on the internet. These pages have texts, pictures, links, and other cool stuff that people can click on to get information. Some popular websites you might know are Google.com, Yahoo.com, and Hostgator.com. All these websites together make up what we call the World Wide Web (www). To visit a website, you just type its name, like "google.com," into the browser, and it shows you the main page, also called the homepage.
More Info:
The files on a website are what you see when you visit, like pictures, music, or pages about products and services. These files can be regular ones like .jpg images or .mp3 music files, but websites also have special files like .php or .html that tell the web server how to display the page. The server reads these files to know what the webpage should look like and what to show you, like a blog post or a forum.
